About the event

Join us in supporting the work of the Oxfordshire Sexual Abuse and Rape Crisis Centre (OSARCC). All proceeds from this tour are donated directly to the charity.

Tour Description:

Discover the stories of those who are often left out of the city landscape: women, people of colour, and LQBTQIA people. Our hidden histories tour takes you on a journey to uncover these stories and find the diverse narratives often hidden beneath the cobbles.

We run this free tour in support of the Oxfordshire Sexual Abuse and Rape Crisis Centre (OSARCC) - please leave a donation to support their great cause!

OSARCC was founded in 1979 as a collective of women, all volunteers, working to support women who had experienced rape and sexual abuse.

Mission Statement:

  • Providing a diverse range of effective services that meet the needs of survivors in Oxfordshire who are affected by sexual violence.
  • Raising awareness of the prevalence and impact of sexual violence and the need for specialist services to support survivors.
  • Challenging and changing public attitudes about sexual violence in Oxfordshire and beyond.

OSARCC mostly provide support to self-identifying women and non-binary individuals recorded female at birth, but their Advocacy service is open to survivors of all genders and the charity is working on expanding some of their other services.
